DreamWorld is a GTA V RP server that heavily focuses on voice/text roleplay.

We promote quality roleplay here at DreamWorld and want community members to have fun RPing, creating interesting characters and developing unique stories.

We want every member to have an incredible RP experience but above all we expect every member to treat each other with respect.

    General Server Rules

    Account Ownership and Responsibility
    • Each account is the property and responsibility of the person who created it.
    • Players are not permitted to share their accounts, play on the accounts of other players or have others play on their accounts.
    • Any rule break found on your account is your responsibility.
    • Accounts are non-transferable for real world currency.

    Real World Trading

Real World Trading is defined as trading anything outside of the IC environment for anything of value in-game. This is not allowed under any circumstances.

    • Trading items without enough IC reasoning is considered a breach of the rules.
    • Selling firearms without establishing a proper IC relationship
    • Giving cars away without strong IC reasons and selling a property for less money to an OOC friend are a few of the many examples of how this rule can be broken.

    • You may not transfer anything between any of your characters without an approved asset transfer request.
    • Using donator features to make IC money (selling credits for IC cash);
    • Trading items that have value in real life, or items on another roleplay community or platform in return for items of value on DreamWorld
    • Giving assets or money away because you're name changing, CKing or leaving the server
    • Paying real money for Dreamworld money
    • Transferring money from one of your characters to another without admin approval
    • Setting up trades for OOC transfers to appear legitimate via IC means (i.e. a fake deal).
Anyone that provides assistance to other community members breaching this rule will also be punished.

    Chat
    • All chat must be in English. You may RP talk in another language by including the name of the language before the text. For example: [French] good morning.
    • Excessive use of /b chat is not permitted. /b chat is only to be used if talking with a member of staff or quickly explaining something OOC, for example ‘Sorry I just crashed’.
    • Players may not use their microphone to sound loud or unrealistic noises. Programs that modify your voice are allowed to an extent. Lower voice or higher pitch voices are allowed, but voice changers that make your voice sound like an alien or a robot are not allowed.
    • The only chats that are to be used for OOC reasons are /f and /b.
    • In game adverts must contain realistic IC content and must adhere to our harassment policies, advertisements that don’t have a purpose are not permitted.
    • Advertisements cannot be used to advertise illegal activities or content.
    • VIP Global Announcements must have correct IC meaning and must follow the guidelines of the community.
    IC and OOC interactions
    • You are required to stay in character at all times.
    • OOC recordings may be used as IC evidence if there is proof of the recording device being ICly turned on through roleplay.
    • You are required to roleplay with /do and /me and know the differences.
/do - Used to describe actions that are happening around you, specific details of the roleplay scenario, and are a strong roleplay enhancer.
/me - Used to describe the action your character is doing

    Staff IC Interactions
    • Only DWRP Moderators+ are able to pause roleplay for rule breach investigation only.
    • Moderators+ have the ability to void a scenario at their discretion.
    • Opinions and concerns are always welcomed but a player is required to follow the ruling of an Moderator+ in the server.

**To see if the person taking your report is a Mod+ type /admins and it will give you a list of online moderators**

    Property Rules
    • Renting/selling to an alternate character.
    • Under the metagaming rule, you may not rent nor sell your property to your alternate character(s).

    Faction Rules
    • OOC corruption - this allows for OOC evidence to be used to prove corruption within the faction. This may be being a part of an illegal faction discord and actively engaging in illegal activities with them. The only way to be corrupt within a faction is to have consent from the faction leader and the faction management team. Without approval you will be immediately removed from the faction for corruption.
    • Drag/vehicle in rules - it is required for police, sheriffs and MD personnel to use do/me for every situation that involves a player. This is for arresting players and taking players to the hospital.
    Player Rules

    Metagaming - MG

Metagaming: is the act of using/relying on OOC information by any third party software or ways that are not in-game, as IC is Prohibited, It can also be said as the act of using information IC that was obtained by OOC means and it is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Using discord or another third party software to communicate with other players in-game.
    • Telling someone In-Character information OOCly in a third party software.
    • Using forum thread information to gain an advantage.
    • Using OOC information IC.

    New Life Rule-NLR

New Life Rule: is the concept of your character forgetting information leading to his death, only when you respawn at the hospital.

    • A player does not have an ability to force his own death in an RP situation.
    • The rule is triggered upon the player respawning at the hospital.
    • A player has the ability to force his own death only at these criteria.
    • If no medical treatment was applied on an injured player within 10 minutes
    • If there is no one around the player and his death doesn't affect other players RP
    • In an RP situation that the injured player got finished off via /me
    • The “Dead” character loses all information and memory leading to his death, the events that caused it and any information collected in that time frame.
    Example of a situation:

There are 2 criminals who went on to rob someone, they got ambushed by several people, leading to the death of only one of them. The dead player will not remember anything leading up to his death so will not be able to avenge himself, the surviving player remembers the events but as his friend died he can only tell his point of view, not mentioning the death of his friend

    • Invalid example :
    • “oh hey, good to see you in the hospital, you got killed by 10 guys”
    • Valid example:
“oh hey man, good to see you here, there was a shootout and I escaped”
    • All the Individuals that were involved in the situation and died must avoid interaction with surviving individuals at a scene of death for 30 minutes. It would not be logical to see the dead player coming back to his death scene in a short period of time.
    • A player cannot return to his place of death within the 30 minutes span, he cannot retrieve his vehicle, items or to revenge kill in this span.
    • Revenge Killing is not allowed by any means, you must get a NEW valid reason within the DM rules.

    Fear Roleplay (FearRP)

Fear Roleplay: is the act of roleplaying fear for your character’s life or another individual's life in a situation where your character is in direct danger and doesn't have ANY WAY to protect himself Realistically. Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:

    • If a player decides to rob someone and pulls a gun on another player, the other player that is getting robbed must fear for his life and comply with the robber’s demands if:
    • The attacked player doesn't have a weapon in hand to protect himself AND the attacking player is in front/back of him pointing a gun.
    • When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.
    • The attacked player has a gun in hand BUT the attacking party has multiple individuals pointing a gun at him.
    • The attacked player has a gun in his hands, BUT the attacking player is BEHIND HIM aiming the gun on him in CLOSE RANGE.
    • The attacked player is in ANY vehicle that is at a FULL STOP or at a SUPER SLOW SPEED and a gun is aimed at him at a VERY CLOSE distance. Realistically you don't have a chance to escape this situation as you will most likely get shot and be hit. It doesn't matter if the engine of a vehicle is running or not, the rule applies to both.

    • If there is a shootout and you are not participating in it your life is in direct danger and you must escape the scene, failing to do so is a failure to value your life.
    • You may not call any emergency services while your life is still in direct danger.
    • Driving a vehicle into an active shootout more than once, without a clear intent of stopping and getting out of it for clear use of it to provide cover will be considered as a failure to value your own life.
This rule was implemented to avoid situations of cars driving around in circles and people shooting from them, it is unrealistic and it puts you in extreme danger driving around in circles in a shootout without.

stopping may also result in a NON-RP offense. Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:

    • When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other player before he attacked.
    • When the attackers sight is blocked off by an object or when they have turned their back on.

    Power-Gaming - PG

Power-Gaming: is the act of forceful roleplay that does not allow/give another individual player or group of players a chance to roleplay their own response in a situation, all players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions. This includes but is not limited to:

    • All statements in /DO must be true, as it is the base for roleplay
    For example:

A person searches you from head to toe and you have a weapon or money or police search you or ask if they find fingerprints.

    • You must always answer the Truth in a /do command, you cannot lie in a /do command.
    • If you have performed an action that has a chance to influence potential RP scenarios in the future, you are REQUIRED TO HAVE OOC evidence of performing that exact action that you state you did.
    • Using a /me command without using a proper /do to give a chance for a response.
    • You may use forceful commands if the person is unresponsive for more than 30 seconds.
    • You may use forceful commands if the person is in an injured state due to EXTREME wounds that would make the injured person unresponsive and not in a place to control the actions that are made against him and he can't realistically change the outcome of the RP.
    • Performing unrealistic actions that are impossible in real life against other players.
    • You may have hidden recording devices but if searched, you must answer truthfully in /do.
    Gross Roleplay (GR)

Gross Roleplay is any roleplay that includes the following:

    • Sexual Acts
    • Torture
    • Iincest
    • Disembodiment
    • Pedophilia
    • Necrophilia
    • Cannibalism
    • Beastiality
    • Any other behavior deems inappropriate

OOC consent is required before any gross roleplay takes place and screenshots/videos of the roleplay cannot be shared to the public unless all parties give consent for it to be shared. This roleplay cannot take place in public areas. Admins reserve the right to deem an area in which the GR is taking place to be too public. If a player is uncomfortable with the roleplay and they are a participant, they may request that it stops at any time. Any request to stop that is not adhered to will be seen as a violation of GR and Harassment Policies. If a player witnesses offensive roleplay and they do not wish to see it, they may remove themselves from the scene.

    No Crime Zones (NCZ)

    • No crime zone is an area where a player may not commit any actions considered as crimes. For example: Selling guns in NCZ will not be allowed , Selling or planting weed in NCZ will not be allowed , threats to a man’s life and discussing illegal things in the NCZ will not be allowed.
    • A Player cannot use the NCZ for protection if engaged in criminal activity beforehand
    • Players cannot go to a NCZ within 10 minutes after engaging in criminal activity unless you are turning yourself in to law enforcement.
    • If a player uses the NCZ for protection the attackers need to wait until the player will leave the NCZ if they want to attack.
    • No crime zones (NCZ) : All government offices , law enforcement offices , hospitals, Banks , Bus Depot.
    • Players must not shoot law enforcement officers but are allowed to flee in an NCZ.

    Non Roleplay- NRP

Non Roleplay: is the act of performing unrealistic actions or promoting poor quality of roleplay.

Example sof (but not limited to) actions that will be considered as Non-RP.

    • Baiting Any Government Services- Provoking the services in order to get a reaction from them without a valid enough realistic reason, or just calling them to rob them, won't be tolerated.
    • Any kind of form of unrealistic stunt jumping is officially not allowed.
    • Using any kind of government spawned scripted vehicle for the purpose of committing a crime is not allowed, these vehicles should be used for their sole reason. (if you snatched that vehicle from someone, you can use it)
    • Going in the water to avoid any kind of danger is allowed, but the swim time must be realistic.
    • Being in a vehicle driving through an active shootout more than ONCE, driving around in circles and not getting out of the vehicle is NOT PROHIBITED,such kind of behaviour won't be tolerated.
    • Stealing your own goods out of the Money Transporter job in the bank is not allowed. In order to steal it you need a friend getting the work as an inside job, and provide RP screenshots, the RP must be realistic and Valid.
    • Not correctly roleplaying injuries after a car accident.

    Combat Logging

If a player by any disconnects during a roleplay situation,he must reconnect and try to get into contact with other parties at the scene to resume roleplay, if you are unable to reconnect you must provide solid proof and evidence as to why you disconnected, that would give you valid reason not to return. Petty reasons won't be tolerated.

    • If a player was involved in a chase/pursuit they have to wait 10 minutes before they can log out of the game, to prevent unfair play.
    • Any kind of ignoring answering roleplay commands directed at them, aka Stalling RP is not allowed.
    • In a situation where the player was kicked or crashed from the server, upon him reconnecting ALL PARTIES must give him the advantage he had before his crash/kick!

    Criminal Rules (CR)

    • Criminals are to take criminal activities away from a clear view of the public eye. This is to include all banks and places that would have heavy security around them.
    • This means players must seek to use abandoned buildings, old car parks, alleyways, tunnels, train yards, shipment yards and such when robbing people or performing any other criminal activity.
    • Criminals are expected to engage in high profile crime, such as large gun deals and meetings away from the city and towards the north or in secluded areas.
    • When robbing a player, roleplay standards in regards to /me and /do are expected to be strictly adhered to.
    • You may not force a player to take money out of the ATM or bank. You may only take money from the player’s wallet and items on their person.
    • You cannot rob weapons or vehicles from a government faction employee. Abandoned government faction vehicles may be used for roleplay purposes only.

Players can give consent to other players to be kidnapped outside of the situations above if the roleplay makes sense, but they should in such cases avoid involving law enforcement in any way due to the consented roleplay. Players can kidnap other players for these reasons:

    • If you attempt to rob a property, you are allowed to hold the players within that property until you have finished the robbery.
    • They have performed crimes against you.
    • They have kidnapped you in the past.
OOC consent is required for kidnapping situations to avoid breaking powergaming rules.

Admins stay out of the way of the distribution of legal firearms or ammunition unless one of the following happens:

    • a player makes a character just to sell legal weapons, but does nothing else on that character.

    • a member of an illegal organization uses legal weapons to supply their group rather than making IC contacts for illegal weapons.
    • the sale of legal weapons (or weapons in general) has OOC involvement, rather than being a strictly IC process.

    Deathmatching (DM)

Deathmatch: Is the act of hurting or killing another individual without a valid RP reason.

Examples of (but not limited to) valid reasons to kill a player:

    • If a police officer is clearly attempting to arrest you.
    • If a player reports you to the police for committing a serious crime.
    • If a player is not in compliance with your plausible demands, Attempts to Escape,or calls for backup.
    • If a player is attempting to seriously hurt you, your close ally or your property.
    • A player aims a gun at you or your ally
    • A player shoots at you or your ally or your property
    • A player pulled out a gun after a heated argument.
    • A kidnapping situation of your close ally allows you to shoot anyone around your ally that is held captive, as they are his kidnappers.
    • If 1 criminal group engages on another group, everyone present in the area from both groups will be automatically inserted into the situation, permitting the area to work as an active shootout.
    • If there is an active shootout situation and you are willingly inserting yourself by being in the location, it is solely your IC problem if you die, and no DM rules will apply there, anyone being at an ACTIVE shootout location will be looked at as a target.
    • You have only one attempt to run over people on foot at a scene where DM permits you to kill that Group/Player.
    • A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands and did not attempt to do anything out of the mentioned in the examples of point one.
    • A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with demands.
    • you must have evidence of your reasoning to kill the player IC.

    War Rules

War rules- are rules that apply to both groups during declaration of war of one group on the other.

    • It is expected of both groups to obey the DM rules set by the server.
    • If a group performs a coordinated attack on a certain area against the other group, the attacking group must avoid that area for 1 hour if they wish to attack it again

    Killing On Sight (KOS)

War KOS privilege is a privilege, You need to ask OOC consent from an ADMIN+, after the staff team discusses that war, the groups seeking to get this privilege will get an answer whenever it gets denied or accepted. For KOS privilege to be given it is a requirement to give the staff member you are asking a full explanation on why you want KOS rights, why you should get them and provide proof of your reasoning to start the war. War KOS privilege include:

    • You may shoot at an enemy group when you are 100% certain that you are shooting an enemy group member, if you are not 100% sure, engage with normal DM rules.
    • Same war rules will apply to this war, except you will be able to shoot each other on identification
    • Crossfire victims will be allowed and the players if they kill someone upon wrong identification will not face OOC punishments, but their faction’s reputation regarding getting an official status will go down.

    For example:

A group just shoots up everyone wearing a suit or wearing black, and not really thinking if the person they shot is an enemy, just for the sake of shooting aka trigger happy behavior.

    Faction CK Clause

Factions will be allowed to require members to agree to a CK Clause. This clause will state that upon a member of the faction being removed for certain IC things, they will have their assets wiped and character killed.

CK Clauses need to be submitted to the Faction Team for review. CK Clauses must abide by being enacted via IC actions only. Any CK Clause that is carried out must have ample proof of it being validated to cover the faction and to prove it was following regulations.

If you wish to enable a CK Clause within your faction please submit your CK Clause to your FMT handler.

    Kidnapping Rule

    • A valid role-play reason is required to kidnap another player
    • In order to kill the person, you have to have a valid DM reason
    • You were hired as an assassin and the victim is your contract target
    • The victim is a member of another criminal faction (however, you have to be in a war setting with that rival faction )
    • If you attempt to commit robbery (general stores, banks), you are allowed to take other players hostage for the duration of the robbery as insurance in case the police arrive. (You need prior OOC consent.)
    • If planning to leave a character to starve, one must have a Character Kill application accepted on the character and OOC consent, otherwise, there must be role-play intended to free/feed the character.
    • Characters left to starve or otherwise abandoned should role-play escaping or if the character kill has been accepted they need to simulate being the effects of starving to death.
    • Any kidnapping RP lasting longer than 2 hours needs OOC consent or the character is to be RPly locked in a room for them to be able to leave the server.

Examples (but not limited to) of valid kidnapping reasons:

    • War with a rival gang.
    • Kidnapping a police officer who put you in jail.
    • You RP barricading yourself with others in your house/a building and take hostages.
    • You need hostages for a robbery
Examples (but not limited to) of invalid kidnapping reasons:

    • You kidnap someone because they used fowl language towards you
    • You kidnap someone who disagrees with your lifestyle
    • You kidnap your mechanic because they charged too much to fix your car
    • You kidnap someone because you don't like them

    Contract killing rule

In order to take a contract to kill someone the following things have to be met:

    • The hiring party has valid KOS on the target and has OOC video proof of that KOS.
    • There has to be evidence of the contract being signed through /do and /me.
    • The hiring party is required to pay prior to the assisination.
    • The hired killer has to inform an Admin or above with all of the prementioned evidence.
    • If all of the evidence is there the Admin will approve the contract.
If kidnapping the target, make sure that the kidnapping rules are followed.
